India plans to buy rocket engines for its space program in Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said in New Delhi. The statement was made after a meeting with the Foreign Minister of India Subramaniyam Jayshankar. Borisov and Jayshankar are co-chairmen of the Russian-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.
Also, the representative of Russia congratulated India on the successful launch of the Chandrayan-2 automatic expedition to the Moon.
Russia already has experience of cooperation with India in the space sphere; Earlier, Russia supplied to India 12KRB booster blocks that were used during the launch of Indian launch vehicles GSLV.
