Putin congratulated India on Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Indian authorities on Independence Day. "Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of India Ramna Natha Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of India's national holiday, Independence Day," the Kremlin press service said. The Head of the Russian Federation emphasized the special importance of relations in the spirit of a particularly privileged strategic partnership and confidence in their further strengthening and development. He also noted the high level of development and achievements of India in the economic, scientific, technical, cultural and other fields, as well as the country's authority on the world stage. Vladimir Putin expressed hope for fruitful bilateral cooperation, as well as constructive collaboration in addressing topical regional and international matters in the interests of citizens of both countries and in line with ensuring stability and security in Asia and around the world.
