Russia and India discussed cooperation in the Far East

The Russian-Indian forum took place on August 11–13 in Vladivostok on the eve of the V Eastern Economic Forum . The Indian delegation was led by Minister of Trade and Industry Piyush Goyal. The delegation arrived on Russky Island on behalf of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
The Russian side was attended by ministers of various departments, Far Eastern governors and about 200 Russian companies, investment agencies and funds. The meeting was held in B2B format and enabled participants to expand the network of contacts to continue the partnership. During the forum, a plenary meeting was held as a result  the signing of MoUs between regions of the Russian Far East and five states of India to expand and strengthen cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, investment, scientific and technical cooperation. An agreement was also concluded on the establishment of representative offices, the Yoga Center and the Pushkin Center for the Study of the Russian Language and Culture.
Representatives of India invited Russian colleagues to visit their country on a return visit.
